Olaf joined Hyphen in February 2000 and became director of the Berlin office in 2015. With both technical, creative and on-site expertise, he leads projects across residential, industrial, public, retail, office, and logistics.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

Most interesting place<\/strong>
The Gasometer in Oberhausen \u2013 I visited this former gas holder when I was a student and it\u2019s one of the most interesting architectural volumes I have ever seen!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Favourite cheese<\/strong>
T\u00eate de Moine \u2013 which literally translates to \u201cmonk\u2019s head!\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What do you like most about your job \/ working at Hyphen?
<\/strong>Being given the freedom to develop my skills and participate in decision making. I enjoy being part of the company\u2019s growth and working with so many nice people \u2013 this is a big factor for me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who or what was the most important influence in your early career?<\/strong>
G\u00fcnter Behnisch, who designed the Olympic Stadium in Munich, was one of the architects I admired most whilst studying at university. I still love his humanistic style and empathic approach to design.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
