Hyphen's Mini-Triathlon

On Thursday 4th July, Hyphen’s Winchester and London offices came together to compete in a mini-triathlon to raise funds for two very important charities. Our swimmers raced the clock (and each other) over 500m in the iconic London Aquatics Centre. They then handed over to their cycling team-mates who rode 15km through Hackney Marshes. The event was completed by our runners who undertook a 5km course, returning in glory to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park and the finish line.

Seven teams of three competed from each office, with each trio being mixed gender and of a minimum total age of 90 years. The Winchester-London bragging rights were hard-fought with Winchester finishing on a total of 8 hours, 35 minutes and 58 seconds, beating London by over 12 minutes.

All of our team members have been seeking sponsorship on behalf of two causes supported by Hyphen. This year, Winchester are fundraising for Mind and London for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Both charities have provided support to Hyphen families and so these causes are dear to our hearts. We’re delighted to announce that so far, we’ve raised over £5,000. As well as individual fundraising, Portview generously provided event sponsorship and so a big thanks to them for their kind support.
