We are pleased to announce the promotion of Laura Vatteroni to the position of associate. Laura is now our first associate in Milan, starting her new role today (1 July 2022).
Laura originally joined Hyphen in 2015, in London, initially as a technician, before becoming an architect in 2016. In London, Laura worked on a wide range of retail projects for some of the world’s most well-known brands.
During the pandemic, however, Laura made the decision to leave the UK to return to her native Italy. This initially meant leaving Hyphen, but Laura soon had the opportunity to collaborate with us in Italy as a freelance architect, working this time with our Milan office. What was meant to be a short collaboration led to a job offer for a permanent position in Milan.
Since then, Laura has been instrumental to our success in Milan, bringing a wealth of experience in retail architecture to collaborate with clients, consultants and colleagues on a host of key projects. Laura also works closely with our Milan office head, Giacomo Spinelli, in developing our business in Italy.
Giacomo says, “I am very proud of Laura. She brings many great qualities to our team in Milan. Hyphen’s London office is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year and by working there before Milan, Laura gained valuable experience in international retail project management, which she has been able to build on here. Laura is an excellent communicator, which has led to her strong relationships with colleagues across the group and effective collaborations on projects.
“Laura is already showing great leadership skills by managing our office’s business operations and development. We have big plans for expansion in Milan and Laura will be instrumental in driving this forward.
