About Olaf

Most interesting place
The Gasometer in Oberhausen – I visited this former gas holder when I was a student and it’s one of the most interesting architectural volumes I have ever seen!

Favourite cheese
Tête de Moine – which literally translates to “monk’s head!”

What do you like most about your job / working at Hyphen?
Being given the freedom to develop my skills and participate in decision making. I enjoy being part of the company’s growth and working with so many nice people – this is a big factor for me.

Who or what was the most important influence in your early career?
Günter Behnisch, who designed the Olympic Stadium in Munich, was one of the architects I admired most whilst studying at university. I still love his humanistic style and empathic approach to design.
