About Pablo

Most interesting place
Alhambra of Granada. It’s paradise on earth – especially in spring when you can enjoy the perfect combination of architecture and nature.

Favourite cheese
Although I am not real cheese lover, my favourite kind of cheese is smoked cheese. In particular, “Queso Palmero” (from the island of La Palma, in the Canary Islands) and “Queso Manchego” (a cheese from my hometown).

What do you like most about your job / working at Hyphen?
As an architect, I enjoy the combination of creativity and technique. Creating something special for somebody is amazing, but finding a way of making it real is even better! What I enjoy most about Hyphen is working alongside more than 160 people, from a variety of international cultures and backgrounds.

Who or what was the most important influence in your early career?

There were three very important influences in my early career. When I was a child, my father (a Civil Engineer), always took me with him to his site visits and this awakened my interest in construction. My birthplace, Cuenca, which features amazing local architecture and the Museum of Spanish Abstract Art. I also admire the work of post-war Spanish architects including Alejandro de la Sota, Sainz de Oiza and Miguel Fisac.
