Michael was appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO) in 2026, having rejoined Hyphen to lead our offices in Ireland in 2021. With over 25 years’ experience delivering architectural projects for global and commercial clients, he also oversees quality and sustainability strategy across the company. Michael is a member of the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland and studied architecture at Queen’s University Belfast and Oxford Brookes University.

I love all the European capitals (every time you go to one, you always think you’d love to live there) but the most interesting place that I’ve ever been is South Africa.

Who or what was the most important influence in your early career?
I’ve been grateful to work for a lot of very astute and sharp bosses over the years and I’ve learnt a lot from each of them.
