The role
Hyphen is looking for a Senior Architect with strong experience in the Retail sector to join our international team. The selected candidate will contribute to the end‑to‑end development of architectural projects for leading global retail brands, ensuring high design standards, technical accuracy, and alignment with local and international requirements.
This role requires excellent communication skills, the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders, and a proactive approach to managing complex project environments. You will work closely with clients, consultants, and internal teams across several Hyphen offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Support internal workflows and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and coordinate the full development of Retail projects, from concept design through to delivery.
- Ensure high technical quality and consistency across all project phases.
- Produce, review, and manage BIM models and technical documentation using Revit at an advanced level.
- Facilitate effective communication and coordination between multidisciplinary teams across Hyphen’s international network.
- Manage client relationships, providing clear guidance and representing Hyphen in meetings and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with Spanish building regulations and applicable international standards.
- Coordinate with engineers, consultants, suppliers, and other project stakeholders.
- Identify risks and propose technical and operational solutions.
Your skills and experience
- Degree in Architecture.
- 7+ years of professional experience, ideally with a strong focus on Retail projects.
- Proven experience coordinating international projects and multicultural teams.
- Advanced proficiency in Revit (mandatory).
- Strong experience working in BIM environments.
- Excellent command of Spanish building regulations and familiarity with international standards.
- Ability to produce clear and detailed technical documentation (drawings, details, specifications).
- Experience with multisite or roll‑out retail projects is a plus.
- Experience in fast delivery – agile projects.
- Strong communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
- Strong organisational and decision‑making abilities.
- Attention to detail, proactivity, and a solution‑oriented approach.
- Strong team collaboration skills, with the ability to guide and support others.
- High level of English (C1 or equivalent) — essential for client communication.
- Additional European languages are an advantage.
