Selfridges

Our teams have delivered numerous projects for Selfridges including some famous retail spaces within their flagship store on Oxford Street – an iconic London landmark.

Working as executive architects on Selfridges Wonder Room, we ensured that Klein Dytham architecture’s design vision was translated into reality. Inspired by the concept of Wunderkammer and Curiosity Cabinets, the Wonder Room is a luxury gifts emporium – occupying 1,800 sqm of retail space on the ground floor. One of the key design features on this project was an elegant wall of fins running around the perimeter of the room. Materials such as limestone, lacquer, oak, glass and suede were used to create a stylish and contemporary atmosphere. 

One of the most famous projects we’ve delivered for Selfridges is their Shoe Galleries, the largest shoe department in the world. Designed by architect Jamie Fobert, a stunning contemporary scheme was created with six different salons – each with a different ambience. As project managers, we helped more than double the size of this women’s shoes space. 

Other projects we’ve worked on include Selfridges Men’s Shoe Department designed by Vincent van Duysen, Men’s Bodywear and Contemporary Department, Women’s Edit designed by Joseph Dirand Architecture, as well as the redevelopment of store entrances at Selfridges Birmingham and Selfridges Manchester Exchange. We’ve also delivered over 40 luxury concessions for brands such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Moncler, Rimowa, Tiffany & Co and Chrome Hearts.
