Hyphen ranked in top 10 of Latin American architectural practices

We have more good news to share with you following the publication of this year’s World Architecture 100. As well as Hyphen featuring in Building Design’s long list of the 100 largest architectural practices in the world, we have also been included in its top 10 for the South and Central American region.

This is the first time we have featured in this regional shortlist, appearing alongside some of the world’s most well-known architectural practices. Ranked by fee income, we are listed as the eighth largest practice in South and Central America.

Our Latin American team were very busy in 2022, delivering architectural and project management services on more than 30 projects in Latin America and Europe, for some of the world’s most well-known clients in the luxury retail, workspace, and data centre sectors. The year was so successful that the team grew threefold and needed to move to larger premises to meet the demands of this fast-growing region.

Matias Menichetti, director of our office in Santiago, Chile, says, “2022 was an excellent year for us in Latin America. We worked on over 20 projects in seven different countries in the Latin America region and on more than ten projects in Europe, collaborating with Hyphen’s UK and Ireland offices.

“We are seeing leading companies in retail and data centres expand heavily in the Latin American region, with many identifying it as a key market. It is this change that has really driven our expansion in the region.

“More than the projects themselves, it is the team I am most proud of. We have a very talented group of architects, engineers, commercial and operational professionals, and we couldn’t possibly have achieved this ranking without the considerable efforts of everyone in the team.”
